Q: What does “Open Hosts” button exactly do?
A: Simply open the system hosts located at
"C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" -
Q: What does “Reload Hosts” button exactly do?
A: AngryHosts will check again which hosts files has been select, and then put them together to replace the system hosts. Often the case is, after you changed some hosts manually, or performed an update.

Q: What does “Flush DNS Cache” button exactly do?
A: AngryHosts will clear the DNS messages cached by system, actually
"ipconfig /flushdns"is executed. -
Q: What does “Detailed”, “Brief” in log exactly mean?
A: The only difference is, Detailed will keep a record for those domains which haven’t been replied.

Q: How would I need to update some hosts with a local file?
A: Often the case is, when you are at home, you need
"A.hosts, B.hosts, C.hosts", when you are at work, you may need"B.hosts, E.hosts, F.hosts", and you don’t want to click around, so you create “home.hosts” and “work.hosts”, set the update address to"C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts", and you know, it’s more like a solution. Future editions may improve this function. -
